How to Play Horizon Drop

Guide falling pieces into complete horizontal lines. Choose Horizon Mode for shifting gravity and survival checks, or Classic Mode for the original run.

Choose a mode

Horizon Mode uses the familiar seven pieces with an occasional five-block anomaly, reverses gravity every 7 cleared lines, and checks the locked stack against the Horizon Line every 120 seconds. Classic Mode preserves the original pieces and rules.

Keyboard

Move: Arrow Left / Right or A / D
Rotate clockwise: Arrow Up, W, or X
Rotate counterclockwise: Z
Soft drop: Arrow Down or S
Hard drop: Space
Hold piece: C or Shift
Pause: P or Escape

Touch

Slide left or right to place a piece, tap the board to rotate, flick up or down to hard-drop, or drag vertically and hold for a controlled soft drop. Use the on-screen Hold button to bank a piece for later.

Gamepad

Use the directional controls to move and soft-drop. Face buttons rotate, hard-drop, and hold. The in-game Help panel automatically shows the active gamepad layout.

When gravity shifts

Upward gravity spawns pieces from the bottom and sends soft and hard drops toward the top. Primary and secondary rotation controls swap directions so they remain intuitive from the inverted perspective. Follow the gravity arrow and keep locked blocks out of the highlighted danger region.

Score higher

Clear multiple lines at once, maintain combos, use back-to-back difficult clears, and look for T-spin opportunities. The next-piece queue and hold slot give you time to plan before the speed rises.
