Is Horizon Drop free?
Horizon Mode is free to play and stays that way. The Premium tier is still in beta while it is being built, which means it costs nothing to use right now either. Everything in the game is unlocked for everyone during the beta.
What is in Premium, and what happens when the beta ends?
Premium covers Classic Mode solo runs, private 2 to 4 player parties with garbage attacks and knockouts, and open-microphone voice chat. It is free while the beta runs. Pricing and a launch date are not set yet, and Horizon Mode, the global leaderboard, and guest play stay free either way. Join the Drop Report and you will hear before anything changes.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Press play and you are in. An account only becomes useful when you want to post a score to the global leaderboard or start a party.
Do I need to install anything?
You can start playing in this browser right now, on desktop, laptop, phone, or tablet. Native apps are in development for players who would rather have one.
How is this different from every other block-stacking game?
Horizon Mode changes the rules while you play: gravity reverses every 10 cleared lines, a Horizon Line advances one row per level and checks your stack every 80 seconds, and rare five-block anomaly pieces show up in the queue. Classic Mode keeps the original rules if you want a straight run.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Private parties support 2 to 4 players with an invite code, shared match seeds, garbage attacks on double, triple, and quad clears, knockouts, rematches, and open-microphone voice chat. Parties belong to the Premium tier, which is free to use while it is in beta.
What controls are supported?
Keyboard, touch gestures, and standard gamepads. The in-game help panel shows the layout for whichever one you are using.
What happens to my email address?
It is used to tell you when new modes and native apps ship, and to give you warning before the Premium beta ends. No selling, no sharing, and every message has an unsubscribe link.
