Privacy
What we collect, in plain words.
Horizon Drop is free and needs no account to play. This page explains the small amount of data the site does handle.
Usage measurement
Pages record anonymous events such as page views, scroll depth, button clicks, and whether a run was started, so we can tell which parts of the site are useful. A random visitor identifier is stored in your browser to group those events. We do not store your IP address or user agent, and the events are never linked to your name or email.
Approximate location
Our host reports a two-letter country code with each request. We keep the country and a device class (mobile, tablet, or desktop). Nothing more precise is collected.
The trailer
The trailer on the home page is hosted on YouTube and loads only after you press play. Until then, no request reaches YouTube. Playing it puts you under YouTube's own privacy policy.
Advertising pixels
When a campaign is running, this site may load a measurement pixel from Google, Meta, or TikTok to report conversions. These are disabled unless a campaign is active. Browser-level tracking protection and ad blockers stop them without affecting the game.
Email sign-ups
If you join the Drop Report, we store your email address, the campaign you arrived from, and your country. It is used to send game updates and nothing else. We do not sell or share the list, and every message includes an unsubscribe link.
Accounts
An account stores a username, a salted password hash, and your best score per mode. Sessions live in a secure, HTTP-only cookie. You can change your username, change your password, or permanently delete the account and its scores from the account screen inside the game.
Questions
Reply to any Drop Report email and it reaches us. If you want your email address or account removed, say so and it will be deleted.
